More amusing Widget tales

sierciaLast night we put Widget down to bed at her normal 8:15ish or so. We settled into dinner and heard her still jabbering away at her bears. About 9:15 she cried for a few minutes, and then was quiet. At about 9:45 I went upstairs to pee, and she started crying again while I was up there. It wasn't her usual fussing, but more like a "my tummy hurts" kind of cry. So, after I finished, I tiptoed in to check on her. As sson as the door opened, she got all quiet again, and sounded like she was asleep. I';m about to tiptoe back out, and she does it again. So, I walk over to her crib to calm her down, and she quiets again. I stand there for a few minutes, and she fusses a little bit. I decide to pick her up out of the crib to cuddle her for a few minutes (since it does seem for all the world like something is hurting) and I find I can't pull her out. Hmmmm. I poke around at her (all of this is, of course, in the dark) ad realize her little foot is stuck in the crib bars! I go and turn on the light, and she's just lying there on her back, blinking, little foot on the wrong side of the bars. So, I free her, and give her a cuddle and put her down to sleep through the rest of the night. Poor little thing.
Then this morning, as we're playing on her changing table, she opens her mouth up wide, giving me a rare view inside her mouth. What should I happen to see in there??? A Molar! One that's already completely through her gums. As soon as I saw it, she clamped her jaws shut but I pried them open long enough to verify that there was, in fact, a new tooth there. I wonder when that one snuck in?
And last, this morning, we were hanging out in my bedroom and playing. Tuna the cat was sleeping on Wiley's director chair in the middle of the floor. Widget crawls over and starts petting the cat, then decides that she needs to push the cat around on the chair, and off they go, zipping around in circles, Widget toddling along, pushing the chair. I am simply amazed that Tuna put up with this, and with the excessive love session that followed. Poor kitty, Widget was actually trying to pick her up off the chair.
