Opinion request!

I'm thinking of trying to dye my hair at home instead of spending a fortune at the salon. Do any of you have any brand/type recommendation for me? Either products you loved, or ones you hated and wished you'd never laid eye on?

I really like Feria, but I find that their "prismatic highlights" make it difficult to dye over with a different color without having the old color shine through in the sunlight.

Otherwise, I've had great results with Herbal Essences.

I used Herbal Essences all the way through college, and so did all of my friends. Previous to that I think we used L'oreal, but a specific subset of it. I think that's no longer available since Feria came out.

There was a lot of hair dye going on in my dorm, and I wasn't the worst junkie, if you believe it. =)

I also recommend herbal essence. I used to use it a bunch when I was in Northampton. A couple of friends would come over and we'd all dye our hair and be silly. :)
