After a unanimous vote for Herbal Essences, I went out today and bought two boxes of "Brilliant Sienna" this afternoon. Tomorrow, the hair gets cut to get rid of all the nasty dead ends and to make it a little lighter and fluffier, then Miss Imagy says she'll help me dye on Wednesday night. Woohoo! Gooooooodbyyyyyeee gray hair!

Having gray hair to cover makes dying your hair a pain in the patootie when your natural color is as dark as mine. Dye the barely changes my dark hair does all KINDS of wacky things to the gray. And there were a bunch of colors that were not recommended for people with gray hair. Poot.

Your natural color is about what mine is, I think -- from the picture in your userpics, anyway -- so I know the feeling. =)

Yeah, I think we're about the same - dark brown, almost black.

I'll never be blonde, I know that much. The gray makes it more challenging though - a burgundy dye that gives dark hair a nice purple sheen with turn grays bright pink. Hopefully, this one won't turn them orange, or anything like that.
