And this is a sobering thought.

Stop and Shop has one of those annoying "Shopper discount cards". As much as I don't like having them be able to track what I buy, all thhey keep a running "Year to Date" tally of your savings at the bottom of your receipts.

Last week, I looked at our tally for last year, and saw that I have saved over $700 last year. This doesn't count the fact that we got a new account a few months into the year, or the weeks when I've forgotten my card. If I've saved that much, do I even want to think about how much I've actually spent?

Gah.

Another quiet day. Little Miss slept in again, and WIley got up with her in the morning. I dozed a little longer, then read for a little while then joined them downstairs. Mostly hung around the house for today, with a quick detour to go pick up pictures, and buy more on-sale Christmas wrapping paper (Yay! I love 50% of sales - it's when you get to pay at least a little closer to actual worth, eh?)

Roasted a beast for dinner tonight, which was yummy. Hannah had her first taste of steamed fresh broccoli, and I'm sorry to say I don't think she's a fan. I don't think it was the taste that got her, but the texture. We did get her to eat a little bit of it though. And she liked the roast beast.

Then after dinner, I tackled the dreaded stitching corner organization. I'm still not done sorting all the thread and floss, but everything else is in good shape. I possess a staggering amount of floss, it's really quite amazing. So far, I have almost 70 colors sorted into their little baggies, and I don't think I'm even quite halfway finished. I think I'm driving Wiley slightly bazoo with all the plastic rustling as well, but he's being a good sport about it. Next week when my gift wrap storage boxes arrive, I'll get that organized and I'll be in better shape on a clutter level.

We watched A Beautiful Mind tonight, and I quite liked it. I'm still boggling at the thought of being schizophrenic - the idea of seeing things that you think are completely real is staggering to me. I think they did an excellent job of portraying that, without it seeming cliche or hokey. I'm letting the rest of the movie process still.
