Wow

I went tonight to see The Hours. I didn't think it was possible, but it was, for me, more emotionally grueling than The Pianist. Not that I think it was a better movie, because I don't think I do. It just hits in a much more visceral place. I could say more about that, but I don't have the energy.

Woot.

With plans to go see Chicago tonight, I'm actually going to manage to see all the Best Picture nominees this year. Makes more a much more fun Oscars pool and party, I'm hoping. The last few years I've only seen 2 or 3 of the movies, and it's hard to be even a little bit invested in the awards if you've missed most of the movies. Not that I care all that much about the awards in general, but Ms. Lorac has a party every year, and it's fun to play along.
