Florida, Day Three

So, it looks like Frances is, in fact, HEADED RIGHT FOR US. There's talk in the paper today that they may evacuate, but the more I'm reading, the less I think that our hotel would be in the mandatory area anyway, since they evacuate mainly for storm surge, and not for the rest of it. I think I'm still taking a wait and see attitude about it, given how unpredictable these storms are anyway.
Install is going well, thankfully. I think we're in a position where if we needed to leave tonight, we'd be in good shape. Then we have to decide if we want to just change our flights (BORING) or make it a roadtrip home instead. Hmmmmm, decisions, decisions.

She's from west Georgia, so it'd feel homier to Shani than it would to you. Not that you shouldn't expect the company to pay for whatever expenses you incur fleeing Frances, of course, but a friendly stranger exists if you need one. Orlando is the usual evac destination, because it's reasonably high ground for Florida (and there are enough hotel rooms), but they took such a hit from Charley last month they may not be prepared to handle it. Jax almost never gets a storm dead on, because the Gulf Stream is so far offshore there, it steers things into NC.
And if you drive back, you have to stop in Philly and say hi. :)
