Tonight I made eggplant parmesan. This wasn't a new recipe, as I have made it before. BUT. I finally got the breading to stick properly, and it came out really really good.

And in the amazing part of the night... I accidentally set off the smoke detector while frying the eggplant. Wiley dove for it, but it was going for a good 20 seconds before he got it turned off. Somehow, this managed to not wake the baby. So much for tiptoeing around the house.

These stories of culinary wizardry just keep rolling off the press! Will they ever end? Would we want them to? NO! I say. Time has refined our sense of taste vocabulary...eons of development and indo-european roots has culminated INTO

Not only did I NOT get it in time, but I fumbled and KICKED it. :) I'm starting to think that we can mostly STOMP around the house, and little miss will stay asleep most times. Of course, we'll flip a coin when she does wake up... :>
