Apr. 2nd, 2002 10:54 am*sigh* I really wish I could go to Fargo again this year. My favorite on-line source for stitching supplies run these stitching retreats, where you go, stay at a hotel (with nice hot tubs) and spend the weekend stitching. You get to meet new people, and she ran a couple of mini-classes the year I went, and it's just generally fun. Alas, the weekend costs almost $300, and I can't find airfare for under $350 which means I just can't afford it. *pout*
BUT, I am organizing something similar for my friends here in Boston that year (either this summer or fall). It won't be quite the same, but I think we'll still have a really good time. Check out the place I want to go. I wonder if I can afford to make little stitching gift packs for my friends. That would be neat.

Date: 2002-04-02 10:27 am (UTC)The Fargo trip was a LOT of fun. I went with Miss Lorac, and we stayed up too late, and (me at least) spent WAY too much money on new projects. Fargo is home to Nordic Needle, and they have a retail store about the size of a small Jo-Ann Fabric, with all stitching supplies. And Theresa set up a "shop" in the stitching room, with charts, fabrics and fibers. I went a little nuts. If I hadn't packed an extra bag, I wouldn't have been able to bring everything home. Ooooops.
Wanna come to CT for our stitching weekend?
